Have you ever heard of a “space burger“? The origins of the name are quite messy and confusing but many believe that the term was first used at the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, where machines that compressed a beef patty between two slices of bread were discovered; in 1964, the machines were once again found at the Grant County Fair in Moses Lake, WA. Then in 1987, one attendee officially coined the term “space burger“, and the name has stuck ever since.

As a fellow burger enjoyer, this logo design project was meant to reflect the love for this odd little creation. The red and white colors are based on the classic American diner aesthetic while the UFO give a playful vibe.
